HC – May 24 and HC – May 31

This Thursday (May 24) will be a meal night at Brian and Lisa’s house. The theme this week will be a traditional pitch in. Bring something yummy to share, your own drink, plates, and utensils.  Please consider bringing a main dish.  Sign up below. Dinner starts at 7pm at Brian and Lisa’s.

Also, the following Thursday (May 31) will be a night to share your own parable.  We’re asking each of you to spend some time thinking about a parable that begins with “The Kingdom of God/Heaven is like”. These parables can be related to your observations from downtown last Thursday or some other observation of things/places/experiences around you. Be prepared to share and talk about your parable.

HC – 5/17

This week we’re going to be exploring modern day parables. We’ll be meeting at the Arts Garden downtown and finding ways from our own culture to express what the Kingdom of God/Heaven is like. You’re encouraged to also bring a camera, paper and pencil or anything else that will help you keep a visual reminder of what you experience.

Carpooling is encouraged. If you’re running late, just let us know and we’ll tell you where you can meet up with us.

Please let us know if you have any questions at all.

The End of the World

The process of conversion begins with genuine openness to change–to be open to the possibility that just as natural life evolves, so our spiritual life is evolving…. Each time you consent to an enhancement of faith, your world changes and all your relationship have to be adjusted to the new perspective and the new light that has been given you. Our relationship to ourselves, to Jesus Christ, to our neighbor, to the Church–to God–all change. It is the end of the world we have previously known and lived in.
